Sunset Lūʻau
Every Monday and Wednesday evenings, the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa invites you to indulge in an unforgettable experience at The Sunset Lūʻau, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Anaeho’omalu Bay. Unforgettable sunsets and scenic vistas provide the perfect setting for a magical evening exploring the rich history of Hawai’i and Polynesia.
Embark on an epicurean exploration with authentic Hawaiian and local dishes, featuring only the freshest ingredients sourced from island purveyors. Watch as kalua pork, a roasted pig, is unearthed from an authentic Hawaiian imu (underground oven), showcasing the true flavors of the Hawai’i. Taste delicacies such Waipiʻo Valley poi, fresh poke, to a hō’i’o fern shoot salad, while savoring flame grilled pulehu steaks, local style barbecue chicken and more. Sip on tropical craft cocktails and refreshing mocktails that complement the ocean breeze.
Following dinner, the night comes alive with a captivating Polynesian revue that will transport you through the South Pacific with the songs and dances of Tahiti, New Zealand, Hawaiʻi, and Sāmoa. The evening concludes with the siva afi, or Samoan fire knife dance – a spectacle that will leave you mesmerized.
