The Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza is one of Waikoloa Beach Resort’s signature events that allows us to give back to the community. This annual alcohol-free and drug-free event is a family-friendly celebration. This past July, two local bands were highlighted at the event, one from Kona and one from Waikoloa. Both bands wowed the crowd with a variety of energetic dance hits from the 1970s and ’80s and gave audience members a chance to enjoy each other’s company and dance to some great live music while waiting for the 8 pm hour when the fireworks show began. This year, two non-profit organizations benefited from the events at Kings’ Shops and Queens’ MarketPlace: The United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii and The Food Basket, Hawaii Island’s Food Bank. Mahalo to the Hawaii County Fire Department and the County of Hawaii for helping to sponsor this year’s fireworks
