Whale Season, November through April, is a very special time for the Big Island, when the spectacular humpback whales migrate to Hawaiian waters. In peak season, three different daily cruises tour the National Marine Humpback Whale Sanctuary where you can see mothers and babies spout and breach the surface, males tail-slap and fin-slap the water for attention. Listen to their haunting song through specialized hydro-phones, while you enjoy snacks and drinks—and a wealth of knowledge from marine naturalists. Thar she blows!
